Helena Avenue Bakery is an artisan bakery offering rustic, organic breads and handmade seasonal pastries made from scratch. The bakery also features an inviting Picnic Counter with artfully displayed breads, cookies, sandwiches and salads created daily. The take-out menu is ideal for dining in or taking away to enjoy at home, nearby wine tasting rooms, the beach or picnics around town. Helena Avenue Bakery shares a space with the Santa Barbara Wine Collective so you can grab a bottle of your favorite local wine for a perfect picnic. Chef Adam Shoebridge

 

Raised in North Carolina, Adam Shoebridge started cooking at thirteen helping his mother and grandmother with family dinners as their ‘best helper.’ He spent his adult years traveling the world building his career with stints in Colorado; Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts; Charleston, South Carolina; Sonoma, California; Nashville, Tennessee; Melbourne and Sydney in Australia; and Hong Kong. Self-taught and learning on the job gave Adam his professional skills but in his heart, he knew that his favorite foods would always be “soul food cooking” – dishes that one feels from the heart. He became known for his fried chicken, his homage to Southern roots. In January, 2018, he became Head Chef of Helena Avenue Bakery.
